 OBJECTIVE 
To secure a position as a Senior Designer at a great company, where I can bring my current experience, energy, and skills to help in making excellent games, while at the same time learning as much as possible and pushing myself to become the best designer that I can be.

 SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
Eight and a half years of experience as a Designer in the computer and video game industry, including over two years of experience using the Unreal 3 engine. An additional two years of experience as a hobbyist creating levels and assets for various games such as Unreal Tournament, Neverwinter Nights, Morrowind, and Thievery[UT Mod]. Strong graphics creation skills and understanding of intuitive design from having spent several years in the Graphic/Web Design field. Familiarity with many different level editors / creation programs.

 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 

Double Helix, Irvine, CA - 2008 to Present
Level Designer
   Accomplishments:
  • Had one of my levels chosen by the publisher to be the playable demo for Tokyo Games Show & press presentation at Gamesom in Germany.
  • Designed, built, and scripted missions, scenarios, and encounters for the single player campaign of Front Mission Evolved.
  • Participated in the process of defining core gameplay mechanics for single player and early mulit-player modes.
   Games worked on:
  • Front Mission Evolved [xbox 360, PS3, pc] - Level Design & Scripting for singleplayer campaign. Additionally, some gameplay systems design.
Alchemic Productions, Los Angeles, CA - 2008 to 2008
Contract Game Designer / Writer
   Projects:
  • Game Design & Writing - Gameplay conceptualization & design. Writing pitch documents, detailed gameplay mechanics specs, and General Design Documents for various as-yet unannounced projects. Projects include a 3rd person action/adventure, a sci-fi 1st person shooter, and a genre-breaking 3rd person action/puzzle/adventure hybrid.
  • Alchemic Productions Website - Site redesign based on theme of existing artwork. Rebuilt the entire website in PHP with a mySQL database backend. Programmed and built custom tools to allow for quick and easy site updates and information maintenance.
Spark Unlimited, Sherman Oaks, CA - 2006 to 2008
Game Designer
   Accomplishments:
  • Designed core gameplay mechanics. (advanced player movement, minigames, ai behaviors)
  • Worked directly with engineering to get new functionality implemented in a way that served the game well and also had maximum usability for the designers.
  • Designed and documented missions, scenarios, and encounters for the single player campaigns of Legendary, and Turning Point.
  • Built and scripted missions for both Turning Point and Legendary using Spark's customized version of the Unreal 3 editor.

  • Legendary: The Box [xbox 360, PS3, pc] - Game Design, Level Design & Scripting for singleplayer campaign.
  • Turning Point: Fall of Liberty [xbox 360, PS3, pc] - Game Design, Level Design & Scripting for singleplayer campaign.
NovaLogic, Calabasas, CA - 2003 to 2006
Level / Mission Designer
   Accomplishments:
  • Designed and created singleplayer and multiplayer missions that are exciting from a gameplay standpoint and also aesthetically engaging.
  • Instrumental in designing the functionality and usability of "NILE", Novalogic's next-generation mission editing toolset.
  • Created the two maps voted "most popular" by Novaworld users for their respective releases. [Kutu Arms Market - JO:TyphoonRising & Denai Chemical Compound - JO:Escalation]
  • Spearheaded the company's evaluation of the Unreal 3 engine. Was responsible for teaching the team how to use UnrealEd and helping them understand the Unreal 3 workflow.

  • Delta Force Xtreme [pc] - Level Design & 3D Art: singleplayer, multiplayer and cooperative game modes. Scripting of singleplayer and co-op games.
